In the Summer of 1987 Leeds took part in an International Junior competion in West Germany. It was won by a Brazilian team but Leeds gave a good account of themselves. In the match against Kiev, Kevin Noteman gave Leeds a 1-0 half time lead but Kiev equalized in the second half and finally Leeds were eliminated 3-4 in a penalty shoot-out.
